It's interesting, if you look at the internet, you can see in the Wikipedia that Fosamax causes osteonecrosis of the jaw. Look at the following link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fosamax This summary very fairly reflects the current state of the peer-reviewed medical/dental literature. . Just like with Vioxx, the common wisdom appears to have far outpaced the information provided by Merck toAt the same time, no such language appears in Merck's Fosamax warnings provided to physicians and patients.
